When powdered, fruits, chemicals, dairy, or minerals can be transported through these conveyors. There are two commonly used types of conveyors—a suction type and a pressure type. In a suction type conveyor, the suction system is fitted at various points to suck the material towards the destination, whereas the pressure type conveyor uses the pressure systems to push the material towards the other end. Some rare conveyor designs make use of both these systems in combination. When compared with to the belt conveyors, these conveyors are more flexible as the tubes can be bent to fit the requirement. They are also less likely to get dirty as enclosed all the time.
